Laurie Olinder is a Projection designer, painter, textile designer, and filmmaker.
Ms. Olinder has designed projections for many composers, musicians and theater artists including - Simone Dinnerstein, The Kronos Quartet, The Brooklyn Philharmonic, Gavin Bryars, Michael Gordon, Mary Kouyoumdjian, Kirsten Agresta-Copely, David Lang, Maya Beiser, Julia Wolfe and more.
Some recent projection design & video projects include: Kirsten Agresta Copley’s Grammy nominated Aquamarine/ 54 Below, Vaya Vaya with vocalist Mahsa Vahdat and The Kronos Quartet, Simone Dinnerstein’s The Eye is the First Circle. Michael Gordon’s/ The Crossing Choir & Maya Beyser’s “Travel Guide to Nicaragua”, Zankle Hall/Carnegie Hall, Wick Simmons’ Exquisite Drones/ The Tank, Transience of Life on tour in France with Elysian Fields., Anatomy Theater (Red Cat Theater, LA Opera).

Laurie Olinder is a founding member of New York's Ridge Theater. She has been recognized with an OBIE Award, a New York Dance and Performance "Bessie" Award and an Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Design in the Theater and an NYFA Fellowship.
